The Planning Commission is established to:

•  Develop and update the comprehensive plan (or master plan);
•  Develop and update the zoning ordinance;
•  Conduct public hearings and advise the Township Board on planning and zoning issues;
•  Make recommendations on special land uses, planned unit developments and site plans,  as well as the construction, location and character of streets, squares, parks or other public ways, grounds or open space, or public buildings and structures.

The regular meetings of the Hartland Township Planning Commission are typically held on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month, except when those days conflict with a holiday.  In 2013, the Planning Commission is scheduled to meet on the following dates.  Meetings may be canceled for lack of agenda items.  If a meeting is canceled, notice of the cancelation will be posted per State law.   The respective agendas for each meerting are available by clicking on Agenda after the date.
