Exciting News: Hartland is Going Mobile with a new app powered by GOGov!

We are thrilled to share some exciting news with you – Hartland is stepping into the future of citizen engagement with a brand-new mobile app!

The app is a great source of information for news, events, service interruptions and updates. A collaboration between Hartland Township, Cromaine District Library, Hartland Consolidated Schools, and @Hartland Area Chamber of Commerce, Hartland Living MI will streamline important community communications and information to citizens in more efficient ways.

Coming Soon- Hartland Veterans Memorial at Settlers Park

We’re thrilled to announce that the Hartland Veterans Memorial is coming soon to Settlers Park! Thanks to the Township Board’s support, funds have been allocated this fiscal year to kick off this meaningful project, honoring the brave men and women who have served our country.

There will be many ways for you to get involved! Opportunities for donation and sponsorship are available, along with the opportunity to purchase a service member brick to be part of this lasting tribute. Please fill out the forms below and mail to:

Hartland Township Junior Ranger Program

Here in Hartland Township we love our outdoor spaces and encourage residents to utilize public parks to their greatest extent. With this in mind, we have developed a quick and fun activity guide for kids to complete while they explore Settlers Park!

With the completion of a specific number of activities (a couple simple ones for younger kids and a few more for older kids), the guides can be turned in at the Township Hall (Monday- Thursday 8:30 AM- 5:30 PM) to receive a certificate of completion and a Hartland Township Junior Ranger patch.

ARPA Updates

In 2021, in an effort to help Americans respond to and recover from the effects of Covid-19, Congress passed a bipartisan bill to allocate funds to meet the needs of local units of government. The US Department of Treasury oversaw the America Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), ensuring that money was utilized to make investments in water, sewer, and broadband infrastructure, along with other capital projects within communities. Dispersed and managed by the State of Michigan, money was apportioned based on population.

State of Michigan Water Line Identification Project

Notice to residents: You may see one of these trucks in your neighborhood soon. This is part of the township’s mandate from the state of Michigan’s water service identification program. Addresses were selected randomly throughout Hartland Township, solely for residents connected to the township’s water system, to quickly expose the water line in two places and identify the material used. There will be no interruption of water service during this quick process.

Brightening Hartland: Hartland Area Community Council Illuminates the Holiday Season

The Village of Hartland sparkled with a renewed sense of festive cheer this past holiday season, thanks to the efforts of our local Hartland Area Community Council. With a thoughtful allocation of ARPA funds this civic minded group aimed to enhance the community's seasonal ambiance through a dazzling display of holiday decorations.
