Job Opening – Appraiser – Part Time

Hartland Township is in need of a field appraiser to inspect, measure and photograph homes with new construction permits and other assessing inspection projects.

The ideal candidate has real estate / appraisal background, familiar with measuring homes, taking photos, and working with construction plans. This is all exterior work; no appointments or interior inspections are made.  Township provides all equipment; camera, measuring tape, vehicle, etc. 

Any assessment education and con-ed are township paid. Michigan Certified Assessment Technician (MCAT) preferred or ability to obtain within one year. Familiar with BS&A Assessing software and APEX sketching software is a plus. This is a part time position typically April thru December. Hours are flexible / township open 4 days per week M- Th. Position is budgeted for 1400 hours per year. $17 to $23 per Hour DOQ.
