The Hartland Township Planning Commission is responsible for developing and updating the Township’s Comprehensive Plan as well as its Zoning Ordinances. The seven-member commission provides recommendations to the Township Board on planning and zoning issues, including development.

The Planning Commission’s seven-member body is appointed by the Township Board. The members come from diverse backgrounds but share a common commitment to civic duty. If you are interested in serving on the Planning Commission when a seat is available, please contact Township Manager Bob West.

The Planning Commission meets on the second and fourth Thursday of each month, except those that conflict with a holiday or if there are no matters before the Commission.
