August 4 Ballot Fire Millage Information

Voters will consider a Fire Millage Renewal & Increase proposal on the August 4, 2026 ballot. The proposal would renew an expiring millage and add a 0.24-mill increase to support fire and EMS services as demand continues to grow. Calls for service have increased 77% since 2020, and emergency incidents now overlap approximately 25% of the time.

Residents are invited to learn more and ask questions at the following upcoming events:

• June 17 – Virtual Town Hall, 7:00 p.m.
• June 19 – Coffee with the Chief, 10:00 a.m.
• July 15 – Virtual Town Hall, 7:00 p.m.
• July 7 – Coffee with the Chief, 7:30 a.m. & 7:00 p.m.
• July 30 – Coffee with the Chief, 7:30 a.m. & 7:00 p.m.

If approved, the proposal increase would cost the owner of a $400,000 home approximately $4 per month and would fund staffing, emergency response operations, equipment replacement, firefighter protective gear, medical supplies, training, facility maintenance, and public safety education.
